Guess who's back!!

My oh my have I been busy!!! Here's a bit of what's been going on with my family and I. My oldest has had a birthday, she turned the big 12.... She reminds me on a regular basis that she's a preteen and will be in 7th grade this year. Where has the time gone!? It seems like just yesterday I was excited when she learned to pronounce mommy (and second thinking my excitement when her "mommy mommy mommy" became a song.???)  Now all I hear is "ma", apparently she's to old to say mommy now and the songs that's she's singing typically have nothing to do with me. She's growing up, in case you were wondering I definitely just dropped a tear.

Princess Amia is now 6 months going on 6years old. She coos more then I talk, sits up, puts anything she can get her hands on in her mouth especially her toes. If you hold her hand she walks, when she went to the dr the other day they just couldn't believe it. "Sarah, Michelle come look at this baby!" Everyone gathered to see how big she's getting.  I think she loves the attention! She's eating cereal and fruit that I purée in her baby bullet. Sleeping through the night is still a complication, seems like I get maybe a night a week. At this point I will take what I can get.

My hubby, he's up to his same old seemingly impossible task. He's loving me so perfectly, making it his daily mission to keep my heart smiling. His love is that kinda love that makes you, wait NOT YOU, but me fall for him over and over again. Our anniversary just passed and he started the celebration on a Thursday, sending roses to my office with a note confirming what I already knew. "Being with me is like being in heaven"!!! That Friday he surprised me with a trip to the spa, shopping and dinner. Saturday we hung out with friends and Sunday on our actual anniversary we shared a big dinner with family. He's A keeper!! Anyway, as always he's working hard in and out of the house and running things, at least I let him think he is.

Now let's talk about me... I'm back in the office since maternity leave,oh how I miss working in my PJs at the house. Other than the fact that I have to get completely dressed and drive to and from in traffic, work is great! Besides work and my family, I have many other endeavors that I've embarked upon. Blogging has afforded me so many new opportunities. I don't want to share just yet, but I promise I will soon enough.

What's next you ask?.....  I will continue to do interviews and share the journey of others. And of course I will give you more of my personal life stories the good the bad and the ugly. As you know, my blog is dedicated to inspiring women and people all over the world. I've been in very dark places both physically and emotionally but by the grace of God I've overcome many obstacles and everyday I continue my stride to becoming a better me. Also to come, blogs about breastfeeding, I will share my journey and tips for both mom and baby. I will talk about postpartum depression, hair shedding and everything (postpartum)/post baby.

Blogging Journal Week 2

Happy Thursday!

What a difference a week makes! I'm humbled by the amount of support and encouragement I've received over the last week. There has been an abundance of comments for each post, Facebook shares/messages, emails, text etc. Thank you, I have such gratitude. So many people have shared how inspired they are from my post and I just thank God for it.

In my first blogging journal I spoke about how lost and confused I was at blogging. I haven't made it to the finish line of understanding, but I do have a much better handle on what I'm doing. Not to mention I've had at least three people reach out to me, unprompted, offering their direction and assistance. How amazing!

What's next you ask? More research of course... I will continue to figure this thing out. Once I have a good amount of information under my belt I'm going to either blog or vlog "How to Start a Blog from Start to Finish" in hopes of helping someone else. Now let's hope if I decide to vlog it won't be rocket science like this blogging seems to be. Lol.

Blogging Journal Week #1

Hey Everyone!
April 2, 2015, I posted my first blog on BlogSpot; you couldn't tell me I wasn't on my way to the top. I contacted my entire family, all of my close friends and my social media followers and shared the link requesting their support and feedback.

The biggest let down so far has to be the lack of support. I guess the way I see it, this is a free request I'm making, yes it does take five min of your time and as much energy as it takes to send a text, but the lack of support was really discouraging.  Let down #2; has to be how confused I am about this whole process. I haven't figured out how to connect with others, and that's the whole purpose of this. My blog settings seem to be incorrect and the format is just not right. I request that people follow me, but truth is I can't find the follow me button myself. Lastly, well not really last but to tell you everything would take forever, I of course want to monetize my blog and I'm lost in the desert with that. I see peoples YouTube with directions on how to financially support my own Blog, but it's almost like a mirage because the very next video tells me not to listen the last video and do it their way.   Needless to say, by now I have pulled out every last strand of hair from my head……the good news is….I can start my natural hair transformation now….lol.

I'm done ranting for now. I don’t want to give the impression that my entire experience thus far has been all bad.  God has been connecting me with strangers that have offered me assistance. I do have some family & friend support, but i understand the others are a bit busy right now. I'm sure they will get with the program soon enough. Everyone who has read seems to be inspired and have encouraged me to continue.

What's next you ask? More research of course, I don't give up that easy. I will figure this thing out and when I do I will be a wealth of information at your service.
